Yachts charter in Marettimo
Only two hours away from Trapani, Marettimo is another of the favorite destinations for hikers: with only one path that can be traveled by car, the island is a rise of mountainous peaks and lush vegetation, which sinks into the white of the sails and houses of the fishermen that crowd the marina. Identified with the ancient Ithaca, home of the legendary Ulysses, the island maintains an ancestral charm linked to the different myths of the past, as suggested by the Castle of Punta Troia, the main historical building of the island.

Marettimo Boat tour
From the city center start coastal and inland itineraries in every direction, for emotional descents from the pine woods on the highlands down through the steep slopes that connect to the more than 400 quarries scattered along the coast. From the high-altitude trails that cross Mount Falcone and the ancient Latin ruins of the Roman houses, you quickly descend towards the myriad coastal beaches. Together with its famous Cale, the waters of Marettimo host a biological variety that has earned it the recognition of “protected nature reserve”: many areas can in fact only be reached on board the small local fishing boats. Directly from the beach you can reach the Scoglio del Cammello, while the numerous caves along the coast of the island can only be reached by sea: the Cammello Cave stands out, with a pebble beach on the bottom, the Grotta del Tuono, the Grotta Perciata, and in particular the Grotta del Presepio, which weathering has shaped over time like an ancient Christmas landscape.
